Handcarved Sitting Gator Shelf Decor
These adorable little shelf sitters bring a bit of whimsical safari style to your home. Each is made from jacaranda wood that is hand-carved and painted in Kenya. They are so finely sanded that no lacquer is required.
Torso sits 5 inches high x 3 inches deep.

This amazingly talented group of self-taught artists bring jacaranda wood to life at their studio in Kajiado, Kenya. A group of 35 men and women carve and paint these delicate pieces by hand. Each artist receives all of their training on site from current members.

Wonderful!
I received my order very quickly which I appreciated. My only comment is that in the photo, the gator has a white belly and some definite color markings. The one I received is entirely brown and pretty dull looking.
As with ALL the Shelf Sitters...they are first class carved, painted and received early and well packaged. And just too cute! I love each one of them! The reason for the 4 star is because the alligator I received recently wasn't high lighted with green paint as shown in its picture. I am guessing the colors changed along the way; therefore, the advertised picture should have changed to its liking. Otherwise, it is really a cute shelf sitter!
